Director of Soccer Operations, Mark Simpson
The ownership group of Loudoun Professional Soccer, LLC, is excited to bring high-level professional soccer to Northern Virginia and the entire DC Metropolitan Area.
Our future NASL franchise will play their games at the new ballpark located at One Loudoun in Ashburn, VA and the team will begin play in the spring of 2014. Central to the team’s goals will be creating an Academy system with established local youth soccer clubs to develop our own players and create deep roots in a soccer-rich community.
Virginia Cavalry FC is associated with VIP Sports & Entertainment, the parent company of the Loudoun Hounds and the BallPark.
The franchise’s Director of Soccer Operations is former DC United goalkeeper and coach, Mark Simpson. Mark, who won 3 MLS titles as a player, also has several years of coaching experience and an MLS Cup with the DC United and the Virginia Beach Mariners of the USL A-League. Mark will spearhead the team’s direction, coaching staff and player development.
